Honda's popular Rebel motorcycle family has a new addition for 2023: the CMX1100 Rebel. This model is designed to offer more performance, character, and advanced technology to riders, while still appealing to a wide range of motorcycle enthusiasts.
With a manageable weight and seat height, the CMX1100 Rebel is ideal for riders who are looking to upgrade from smaller bikes or are seeking a crossover option from different segments. However, the bike's stiff tubular steel frame, naked bike-spec suspension, and high-powered braking make it a popular choice for more experienced riders who want to push their limits.
The real highlight of the CMX1100 Rebel is its 1,084cc parallel twin-cylinder engine, which delivers impressive bottom and mid-range power, along with an evocative exhaust note. Throttle By Wire management provides a range of sophisticated rider aids, including three default riding modes that can be customized to suit different riding conditions or rider preferences. The bike also features Honda Selectable Torque Control, integrated Wheelie Control, and the optional Dual Clutch Transmission technology. Cruise control comes standard.
Visually, the CMX1100 Rebel has a stripped-back bobber style, with a circular LED headlight, steel mudguards, and a round, negative LCD instrument display. To meet the needs of modern riders, the bike also has a USB-C charger in the under-seat storage space.
For 2023, Honda has introduced a dedicated Touring version of the CMX1100 Rebel, called the CMX1100T Rebel. This bike features a broad aerodynamic half fairing and hard panniers, making it an excellent option for long-distance touring. The CMX1100T Rebel is available in striking Gunmetal Black Metallic.
Overall, the CMX1100 Rebel offers riders the best of both worlds: a leisurely laidback cruise or an exciting riding experience on twisty roads. With its blend of advanced technology, sophisticated rider aids, and stripped-back bobber style, it's sure to attract a wide range of fans.
